Glebelands bed and breakfast is ideally situated to take advantage of the great variety of tourist
attractions and activities enjoyed by many when visiting the Garden of England.
We have two of the best known long-distance footpaths, Greensand Way which is about 200 yards from our doorstep, and the Pilgrims Way is also close by. There are many interesting houses and gardens open to the public - among the most famous are the Castles of Leeds, Sissinghurst, Hever and Bodiam, whilst the gardens of Great Dixter, Godinton House and Sissinghurst will attract the avid gardener. For the sportsman and woman there is an abundance of golf courses, Chart Hills at Biddenden for example; gliding at Challock; point to point racing at Charing and Aldington; light aircraft flying and parachuting at Headcorn; and, for the athlete, there is the Julie Rose stadium at Ashford. |

For the steam train enthusiast we have the Kent and East Sussex railway at
Tenterden and there is the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Light railway running
along the coast.
For the shopaholic, Ashford provides the McArthur Glen Outlet Centre; Dover, De Bradlei Wharf; and Dartford, The Bluewater Shopping Centre. Thirty minutes away is the Cathedral city of Canterbury which has a history going back over a 1000 years and is packed with many quaint and interesting buildings. The easy access of Ashford International Railway station, Euro Tunnel and the ferry terminals at Dover and Folkestone make Glebelands in Pluckley the convenient resting place on your journey to and from the Continent. The nearby The Mundy Bois public house offers excellent meals, and a good range of wines, spirits, and beers. |
