As well as many historic buildings in the village, the church dates back to 1093 and is well worth a look.

There are a number of fantastic places to visit near Pluckley, such as Leeds Castle, Godinton House, Hever and Bodiam Castle and Sissinghurst Castle Gardens.  Canterbury Cathedral is only 30 minutes away by car.  The Greensand Way for the walker passes through Pluckley and the Pilgrims Way is all but 3 miles away, perfect for those wanting to explore the Garden of England on foot.

For an evening out there are a wide variety of pubs and restaurants within a short drive.  The Dering Arms, a renowned seafood restaurant; Elvey Farm a local and well known Kentish restaurant; The Swan at Charing with its Steak House, Thai and Sushi bars; also Chinese and Indian restaurants to name but a few.

There is easy access to Ashford International Station for Eurostar services, and Pluckley has a station that can get you there in 7 minutes.  London is  1 hour 10 minutes away.  A 30 minute drive gets you to Eurotunnel and 45 minutes to the ferry terminals in Dover.  All this makes Glebelands a most convenient resting place on your journey to and from the continent.
